I think Tonner's Re-Imagined Fairy Tale dolls have been around for a while (they did Cynders, Alyce, and Vasilisa), but I'm pretty sure the Sinister Circus is:
1. Brand new, and
2. Nothing I EVER would have expected Tonner to make.

Pouty gothy dolls, sure. Superheroes, why not. But mohawked muscle-man complete with skull barbell?!

I guess I have to stop making jokes about how all Tonner male dolls look the same. (Well, his Dick Sprang-esque Joker was the exception that proved the rule.)

I actually kind of like him... a lot! That's what BEGoths should've been. Heh. If they weren't 1. 16" and 2. a million dollars each... I'd own... many more...

I know very little about the Tonner line other than still no pix of Dr. Who.

Have people *really* been waiting with bated breath for the POTC Captain Norrington doll?

I would wager just as many people are eagerly awaiting Captain Norrington as there are people clamoring for Steve Carrell as Maxwell Smart.

Me, I'm still vaguely wanting Crazy Texan Balloonist From The Golden Compass, with his Creepy Youthful Hands. Lee Scoresby! I can't believe he came out with a Lee Scoresby doll!

Sam Elliot doll yay! Too bad the scale is wrong, as he'd be a great addition to the Obama Presidential Action Cabinet.

I dunno, I kind of like the idea of Giant Oversized Sam Elliot in the Cabinet. SAM ELLIOT SMASH!

"Why didn't you fools go see my movie? INEXPLICABLY OVERSIZED SAM ELLIOT SMASH!" Hey, I like that.

Apparently the Pirates dolls, like Harry Potter and The Golden Compass, are steady sellers. Tonner has implied that he went for the Get Smart license because he really, really wanted to make an Anne Hathaway doll, and I imagine this was a much cheaper license than some of her other movies.

Dangit, an Anne Hathaway Devil Wears Prada doll would've been keen!

:D That's why Tonner encourages you to redress his dolls.

ahahaha! It's like those tacky Halloween costumes! I kinda like them, in a weird way. Further down, I unabashedly dig the Ring Mistress.

You had me at "Fairy Tale Porn Stars"...

I just had to see if they had Little Red Riding Hood.

Not Disappointed.

The Glutton for Gingerbread guy just makes me laugh. I kind of dig on Red Hot Riding Slut, a little. And the circus is just GAAAH NO--NO CREEPY CLOWN DOLLS KTHXBAI.

Oh, and Black Leather Pants Romeo? Hawt. *guffaw*

(But I still want their Luna Lovegood doll. Does that make me a bad person?)

After [livejournal.com profile] mythosidhe posted pix, I totally want the Snape doll! We can all be bad people!

That porridge is HAWT.

Wow. Glutton for Gingerbread has got the cheesy romance novel thing down perfect. o_O

Ooo! I'm liking that Sinister Circus set just south of the porn star series! Nice!

Sadly, I am tempted by many, MANY things on the Tonner board. But, I really can't justify dealing with another scale of dolls. Er, unless it's Snape. Or, Dr. Who.

Ooooh, I like it. But as far as Tonner is concerned, I still want their Wonder Woman above all else.

Honestly, if Goldy and Red were just a little more Loligoth and a little less bad Halloween hookerish...

I just want to see Torchwood and Doctor Who, Mr Tonner. Why is that so much to ask? WHY?

I went to the Tonner booth at SDCC specifically to inquire about The Good Doctor. Still no pictures, no firm release date. I'm kinda hoping this doesn't mean there's a terrible sculpt that the BBC keeps rejecting or something like that. Were there supposed to be Torchwood dollies as well? I don't think I could resist Cap'n Jack. Because NO ONE can resist Cap'n Jack!!!

I don't know what the deal is. The prototypes were supposed to debut for some convention in...April, and didn't appear.

Supposedly John Barrowman is a big Tonner fan, and totally supportive. So I don't know if it's licensing, sculpt problems, the BBC being slackasses (which has happened to other people), or they're snowed under by Twilight's success. I just wanna see Jack and Gwen, man.
