Haven't done this in a loooooong time, maybe because we've been too caught up in arguing with eBay buyers over whether items that have been sitting in my doll room for 15 years are better described as "New" or "Used." But, we did snap some piccies this weekend, so here are a bunch of UFO catcher dealies from Singapore that we've had waiting in the queue for a bit. We'll present them in approximately reverse order of biggitude.

Here's a favorite: Stitch and Angel dressed up as Asian "lucky cats."

Here's a big old guy - instead of showing you a pack of ciggies for comparison, like they'd do in a Yahoo Japan auction, we've got a cup of coffee. In our "Midvale Home for the Gifted" mug.

He must be going to San Francisco.

Oh, and this is another big dude.

This is something called "Noconoco."

These are smaller versions of the Noconoco cuties.

This tag is from the guy on the right, who's actually from a different set. His cheeks are supposed to light up! We obviously need to 'speriment with this guy.

Oh, and speaking of Real Science Sperimentation, check out this cushion thingie.

According to the instructions, you let it out of the package, and it automatically embiggens. Like a Power Ranger villain or something.

Who is that behind the mask???

Surprise!

This set was probably made for Girls Day.

For no apparent reason, this set consists of Stitch in sunglasses, Stitch pretending to be a bunny, and Stitch having a grand mal seizure.

These keychains have fluff on the end. Also for no reason.

And the last - Stitch is emerging from little flowers.

Maneki Neko Stitch!
Take him to Maneki restaurant. ;) (Man, I'd almost fly back to Seattle just to go there and have that damned avocado salad thing. SO GOOD)

You know, I honestly don't know if I've ever been to Maneki. Might be the place Gus always raves about, since it's near his work. We luvs our sushi.

I really enjoyed it--definitely taking C. there if we ever get up to Seattle together. If it's the one Gus is always talking about, you should go! It's a little different. I have a big soft spot for places where I feel like they're managing to both respect tradition and do interesting new things, but they're hard to come by (and when you find them they usually rob you blind).

Ha ha ... I remember that Midvale Home for the Gifted mug! ^-^

BTW ... easier for to get 'small' claw machine plushies? Or 'big' ones?

Short answer: "it depends." Sometimes when the little ones are in a pile you can whack them, but then you have to get a complete set.
