...'cause Boneboy and Mr. Tikistitch dragged us to see Batman Begins, which, even though we may report it is might y good indeed, with plenty of time for gazing googly-eyed at Liam Neeson and/or Gary Oldman, it turns out to be approximately 850 hours, 17 minutes in length. Or something like that.
On to musing why Japan will always be at least 37% cooler than the USA. See this?

This is why. It a simple, cheapie binder folder Boneboy picked up for us in the Japanese equivalent of a 7-11. What's so cool? Lookee here. The front and back covers are arrayed with complete descriptions of all of Stitch's little cousins from the TV show. Simple, n'est-ce pas? Ah, then why don't they make something cutie like this for us ugly Americans?

Date: 2005-06-25 07:23 am (UTC)Stitch has ultimate collectability, though -- forget Pokemon's original 150 (or 300+ now), Stitch has over six hundred cousins! Assuming the show ran long enough, think of the giant posters you could make/buy! OMG! So cute!
... it makes me a little sad those top two don't have names! I've only seen a few episodes of the show, but isn't naming the cousins part of loving/reclaiming them?

Date: 2005-06-25 11:01 am (UTC)Good question!! 625 is one of the first cousins they meet, in the Stitch movie. But, since he hangs out with Gantu, I suppose you could say he hasn't been turned to good yet. Lilo sometimes calls him "Sandwich Boy."
627 was made by Dr. Jumba to be eeeeevil, to teach Stitch a lesson about being arrogant. They finally had to dehydrate him, since Jumba made him so he couldn't ever be turned to good.
So far, Disney Channel has a rule that no show can go over 65 episodes. They're showing the second, and final, season of Stitch right now, so we'll probably never get to see much more than 100 of his cousins.
