What is the key to a successful birthday celebration?

Key ingredient: ART!

We celebrated our anniversary of another successful transit around the solar system jointly with buddy, Boneboy. The festivities started up in Everet for the Viny Vader show, in which local artsy types were given small scale replicas of the Dark Lord of the Sith's famous headgear and allowed to run wild. Boneboy is modeling his own interpretation, "Disco Ball Vader!" It even rotated!!!

We liked this one best, out of the pieces that Boneboy had not yet purchased that is!!!

Mr. Tiki, Patron of the ARTS! With his exclusive carrying case. Unbeknownst to us, the tiki Vader was purchased as a Sooper Sekrit Stealth Birthday Giftie! Which, is the best kind, given how we tend to peek.

THEN! It was on to Taki Tiki in fabulous downtown Edmonds. Their claim to fame was once a menu featuring an incredible variety of SPAM products. AS it turned out, the menu was too fabulous for downtown Edmonds, so the processed meat products have been scaled back. BUT! They did feature as live entertainment a man playing Pink Floyd on the ukulele!!
We got some pretty awesome gifts, including the aforesaid Tiki Vader, plus a squooshy and loveable plushie Bantha, plus an Archie McPhee book, plus Dr. Who and Adipose, plus, FINGER MONKEYS WOW!

Lookie, even the President showed up! Wow!
And you know what we figured out? The 'Bama man is from HAWAII. And you know what that means???
OMG FIRST TIKI PRESIDENT!
It's gonna be 8 years of tiki!!!
U-S-A! U-S-A!!
Now 'tis on to Tango for Tapas tonite. And you know what else? Monday is HALF PRICE BOTTLE O' WINE NIGHT! Hoo-hah!
