We found this article kinda fascinating:

"Evangelical teen-agers are more sexually active than Mormons, mainline Protestants, and Jews. On average, white evangelical Protestants make their "sexual début"--to use the festive term of social-science researchers--shortly after turning sixteen. Among major religious groups, only black Protestants begin having sex earlier."

tiki's parents are from a rural town in a reddy-red State. And, as the article states, most people got knocked up in high school, kept the kid, and went on to successful careers as professional alcoholics.

I think it just goes to show the overwhelming attraction of "forbidden fruit"...coupled with repression and hormones.

I had one of those non-evangelical, only attended services on high holy days, suburban upbringings. And waited until college. Though I did live in a redder-than-red state and started off in life in one of those rural podunks if that counts for anything.
