Evil [livejournal.com profile] warren_ellis (professional mordant Englishman + part-time Internet Jesus) put this up the other day, and we really can't stop thinking about it.

In a nutshell: what happens when you shove a microphone at a paranoid schizophrenic and ask, "So, who are you voting for?"

*Goes back to sticking head in a bucket 'til election is safely over.*

I'd heard about this through friends here who spend a lot of time talking about election matters. Is there room in that bucket for my head too? :/

I'm so glad that in this country I have the ability to decide for myself. I'm so glad that I can search the internet and other means of communication and decipher the words put out by main stream media, to get differing opinions and Facts, to un-spin the spun.

Thank goodness I also have the intellect to not have to rely on others to decide for me as to what I am going to do. That just hearing someone says "God says this is what you must do" is not the deciding factor as to what I as an indivdual and human am going to do.

Because history repeats over and over again what happens when people lock step to that.

I'm curious, did Ellis or anyone know what church this woman goes to? There are some out there that are getting pretty edgy.

If you go to the original on YouTube, it's evidently from some kind of PBS documentary. I must remind myself to not watch it.
