The concept: your Dizzney faves as ghosts. (Not quite sure why there's black and white variations, other than it let them reuse the same injection molds.)

EXCEPT for Stitch and Scrump. Who are also bats. Which, we already knew.

It seems to be a Disney Standard Thing to provide black-and-white old-timey variations on everything Mickey and Minnie. The upcoming Mickey Mouse Optimus Prime Transformer will also have a black-and-white/monochrome variant. It's all kind of crazy.

From Allspark.com's discussion boards (who got it from the Hong Kong Transformer discussion boards, I think), a scan of a retailer catalogue:

They're still in the development phase, so they're in test-shot gray plastic, but the one on the right says that it'll be monochrome. Also, that the Mickey that sits in the trailer's driver's seat will "put on" a battle suit and become the Mickey Robot's pilot. Also, that there will be a gimmick where you push down on Mickey Prime's head and his arms will flap (?!)

Basically, Takara-Tomy is insane. Hasbro is slightly less insane, so this particular Transformer may not be released in the US.

Takara-Tomy is insane.

And THIS is why we love them so!
