So, the stated purpose of the evening was to attend the Suite 100 show, Mecha/Organic. But being as Boneboy and ourselves are easily distracted, we went on a hot tip from [livejournal.com profile] blythou, and started off at the Plush You show at Schmancy. We had heard, there would be toys.

Hrm, looks crowded!

There were about a million kazillion people crowded into the store, plus toys, plus cupcakes! It got a bit crowded.

Hey, Push Me Pull U!

And Lego Fisher Price doggie!

We're watching yooooouu!

A lot of the stuff had actually already been sold by the time we crowded in. The clerk told us there were people from all over the country.

You could get toy ciggies in the vending machine. So, guess what we did?

This was our favorite of the evening, Toby. But, as we said, he was already SOLD!

After a bit, and after buying some toys, we skittered down the block to the Mecha/Organic show (our fave Justin Hillgrove had some groovy stuff) and Roq La Rue, for a show of scary stuff that we won't mention, being that it was scary.

All this art stuff was exhausting, so we stopped for some Asian fusion, and then skittered back down to Plush You.

Plush you was supposed to be split between Fancy and Schmancy, but instead of Fancy, we found a shop called Nancy. Which only added to the confusion.

Hey, look who's guarding the pretzels!

Of course, Boneboy ends up finding the skull stuffs.

Oh, and we ended up with some toys too. What happened was we each bought some blind boxes at Schmancy, and then headed down to Studio 100. Boneboy, being totally impatient, went ahead and opened all his boxes right on the street while we were walking, while we sensibly kept our stuffs in our bag. So, then we met Justin, and after Boneboy showed him his winnings, Justin asks us, "So, where's your toys?" And we had to explain that we were being patient and keeping them in the boxes for later. "What's the use of buying toys if you don't have to pull them right out of the box?" he wondered. Chastened by our favorite pop artist, we popped open our boxes right then and there.

We got a little glass elephant and a crazy fortune in the cigarette machine. And a happy Friends with You friend, who bobbles and sings. AND a couple of the Fairy Tale Tableware Re-Ment sets, though not the Alice ones they show on the outside, which means we'll have to get more boxes, $%#$%@ teensies!!!

Hey! So I'm months behind on LJ and don't know if I'll ever catch up (or post again) and stupidly didn't save your email from previously, but wanted to point you at Shirt.Woot! today, for awesome octopoddy goodness. I should have done last week when there was another octopus shirt (which I also got, because I am weak), but hey, better late than never.

Hope all's well!

Those shows look like so much fun! Some very cool things there and I really like Justin Hillgrove's art also.

Good luck on finding the Alice set. I bought the carton when they came out, figured it was cheaper than buying blind boxes over time.

Oooo, so do you know what fairy tale goes with the black teacup set? Someone was asking, and I didn't know.
