It's just a very weird needle for them to have to thread, because they have to assure everyone that the girl wasn't "pressured" to have the kid (ie, Michelle Malkin had a column about how the kid "Chose Life") but in their world, there really isn't any alternative.
Sort of the living breathing reality right there. Amazing the spinning going on at times. I actually read a quote from a guy in their home town that said "maybe teenage pregnancy isn't that bad".
I say the private comes off when the book deals start getting thrown around when everything blows up eventually.
