Even if you're not a screaming Stitch fan (in which case, why the hell are you reading this blog???) it's pretty clear that Disney stores in Japan are way better than similar in the USA by at least three orders of magnitude. They are just Awesome of All Awesomes.

Here is a reason:

This is the GooGoo News. It's a little flyer they have in J Disney stores that will give you details about current special offers. Because, there's always a special offer!!!

Basically, in Japan, it's all about the gifts. So, after they've toted up your items, and carefully packed them in bags inside bags inside bags, and then inserted more bags, in case anything inside might be a gift, and then neatly taped it all together, then they give you presents!!!

In this case, after every jillion or so yen, they give you a little key cover, featuring a random Dizzney chara.

Shall we open????

Fortunately, our buddy Yoda-san accompanied us on this shopping trip, so he helped us maximize the number of little extras in our order. So, pretty good score, we got all the Stitch chara (except poor old Lilo). But we got Scrump, and she's always a bit spendy to have to get from Yahoo auctions.

Not quite sure what the little tray is supposed to be for. It's cute as heck though.

And of course a handy insert to alert you to the full set of gifts. So, you know about how many times you'll have to come back to collect them all!

So ummm do you keep the ones that aren't exactly Stitch-related? Like say, what happens to Donald?

Well, if they're small, and I wanna get the whole set, I usually keep 'em. If they're big, or I don't have a full set, I sometimes try to get rid of 'em. This is somewhere in between, it's pretty small, but I'm not sure whether I wanna try and get the whole set.

They are much cuter than the ones I've seen in the vending machines here in Chinatown. Those Disney ones all have holes in the middle of their temples, which is of course morbidly amusing, but not very well planned out.

That's why I don't like most of the watches - the hands seem to sprout out of Stitch's nose!

According to the flyer the little tray is a "key tray" to hold your keys in.

Oh, thankees! That's right, some people just throw their keys in a tray when they get home. If I did that, I'd *never* remember where I put my keys.
