Er, no.

Was just chatting a bitlet about this with Ms. sassygirl.... For some reason, it seems like if you have this great concept for your web page lodged in your brain, it should somehow automatically download and turn up on the internet all instant and neat-o!! Not sure why this is. No novelist would assume that their latest bestseller would, say, automatically type itself up. Why does the web always appear like it should be so much easier, without all the hacking HTML and Photoshopping and the rest? We are much a-puzzled.

I think it's because a lot of people do have websites where they just drag and drop or so many teens have those fansites where they get the templates from one site and just upload photos etc, so they have lots of content very quickly. Maybe it's because in this day and age, it's seen as an important/very 'now' thing to have a website? I know so many people who do work hard on their sites and I just get frustrated with lack of time, knowledge etc.
Maybe it's because it's much more visual and pretty, instead of writing which is always/mostly seen as a tormented art?

I had to have kagenami do my website for me, and I remember having to do a pencil sketch of how I wanted the front page to look. I'm no good at HTML. I don't think I've ever managed to center a paragraph in HTML, or import an image; it's all I can do to use italics and bold in a sentence.

That's what I find myself doing, sketching out a layout/graphic and then painstaking making it as close as I can in photoshop or dreamweaver!

You guys are *so* much more conscientious that I am! I usually just start hacking, and if the majority of the links work, I'm happy. ^_^
