So, what does everybody think of this photo gallery? Some nice shots, but, as Nigel Tufnel reminds us, "it's a fine line" between laughing with nerds (stormtroopers making telephone calls anyone?) and laughing at us.

It's interesting how he has these people in costume posing in such ordinary surroundings. My favorite is the Imperial Guard standing by the fireplace with a cat crouched by his feet.

Taken individually, there isn't such a "ha ha lookit these loozers LOL" feel to them; looked at en masse, though--yeah, you do kind of get that vibe from it.

There's a few interesting shots. But my main reaction is to note that there's a lot of ugly furniture in the world. Also, it is just all a bit earnest.

After looking at his whole portfolio, I'm stunned that this guy actually gets paid for his photography. Half the photos are either completely blown out or under exposed, quite a few have the subjects poorly framed and they are just really drab generally. Little better than snapshots.

I'll have to agree that some of the compositions strike me as a little off (me not being an artist or photographer) - for me it's the subject matter that makes it interesting.

One other observation, if you've hung around any of the Star Wars conventions, for instance, you're likely to come away with jillions of shots of Stormtroopers using the telephone and the like. My friend Chris got some great shots years ago of dozens of stormtroopers boarding a shuttle bus.
