So, we're starting off with UFO catcher machines, because, that's how tiki started off this trip, with a great Damn-the-humidity-full-speed-ahead charge into the Arcade district of Ikebukuro.

First off, you need to find a UFO catcher machine. THIS IS NOT DIFFICULT! Here's what we usually did: went out the front door of the hotel, turned right. Some days, you might go out the front door of your hotel, and turn left!!!

But then the more difficult part: the UFO grabber people. Here Mr. Tiki and Shadowcat discuss the Zen of Bunny Catching. "You must BE the bunnieh!" opines Shadow.

And here we go! Cherry Stitch! NOTE: you sometimes also get odd chara mixt into the bunch. This is a feature!!!

AND, sometimes you get the same guy over and over and over.

BUT! Sometimes you hit gold, like these snazzy Leroy catchers. We really likes the Russian hat Leroy guy.

We should emPHAsize, not all the claw machines hold Stitch plushies. No, some of the claw machines hold Stitch fans....

...or Stitch tee shirts....

...or Stitch noodle dishes!

Here's one of our fave catches from the night, which Mr. Tiki calls "Nacho Libre Stitch."

He's got a typical Mexican wrestler outfit.

The hood, oddly, has velcro on the back, even though it's actually sewn on to Stitch's skull!!!

Leroy, Stitch's naughty cousin, was also extremely popular this time.

This is Leroy riding on a banana, from a weird UFO machine that we evidently didn't get a picture of. The prizes were on shelves, and you had to fit the shelves in to little holes in the back of the machine. It looked totally rigged, but Mr. Tiki managed to defeat it.
