Here is our new daemon, Basil the Arctic Fox.

(We has stole picture from Intarnets. Which R OK, as daemons don't really exist.)

Before the movie came out, there was a daemon meme circulating that linked to the movie's website. I remember that meme said my daemon would be a lynx, but I can't remember his name.

Oh, lynx is a good 'un too! You did see the new GC meme everybody has been doing? My arctic fox didn't come with a name, but James on Top Gear said once that all foxes are named, "Basil." So I suppose this applies to arctic foxes too.

I did the new meme--it basically said my daemon would be a falcon, snow leopard, Siberian tiger, snowy owl, or osprey. Those are all very cool animals, although if you have a bird daemon, do you need to worry about it pooping on your clothing?

BTW, Basil is very cute, just so you know. :)

The Daemon Analysis page also offers real in-depth info on characteristics of people with certain daemons. It's a fun page to read if you really want to look into info on what daemon you might have. I took the quizzes many times at thegoldencompassmovie.com and I was often saddled with a lynx (that had a name sounding suspiciously like an STD). I also took the other meme and it said that I'd be most likely to have a koala, panda, swan, or wolf daemon.
