There's a lot of Stitch cutlery available in Japan these days. So much, actually, that we tend to ignore it, unless it's a particularly good example. Meaning, of course, a particularly silly example.

Behold!

We were, of course, partly attracted to these paper items by the cute graphics. But that's not why we ended up buying them.

Nothing puts your friends into that festive mood like a written reminder that your adorable mascot is likely to lose his shit and cause bodily harm!

Oh man. During our Everything Transformers buying binge in 2007, we managed to resist most of the Transformers-themed paper plates and party goods...

But I SO would have bought them if they'd said "Bumblebee is dangerous and goes on a rampage" on them.

(Oh well, something to look forward to for 2009!)

I've often thought that buying licensed party goods would be an awesome thing to collect--if I didn't already collect almost everything else! Somewhere we have some LABYRINTH paper cups.

I didn't manage to get a very good picture of it, but the plates and bowls actually say, "Terror from beyond space. Stitch is dangerous and goes on a rampage." It's bloody marvelous.

I like stuff like that! They're fairly cheap and small and ephemeral. Of course, the Japanese stuff also has the advantage of being completely batshit insane.
