Unfortunately, if that one is anything like my "Hello Kitty Super Toasty Oven," you have to pretty much turn the toast into charcoal for the designs to show up. BUT STILL. I HAVE TO SAY MY TOASTER OVEN IS ONE OF MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSIONS.
What I've heard is these crappy appliances will turn you're entire kitchen to charcoal if you're not careful! Though, I really *do* need to try out my Stitch "hot sand makeh" some time.
Luckily, mine is Sanrio licensed for the North American market, so I think it's just a regular old Sanyo toaster oven, with HK painted on the front and an extra shape of metal. So mine isn't TOO dodgy.
*sniffs* I wish they still made it, though. Mine's been through the wars. In college, I used to bake tiny cakes in it.
I used to do *all* my cooking in a toaster oven! They're really handy, like if you just want to warm up one slice of pizza. But a few years ago, we had to send ours to the Great Deli Counter in the Sky, and switched to a plain old pop-up toaster for some reason.
