2008 Presidential Candidate Matching Quiz

To give you an idea of tiki's sheltered little life, at our workplace, everybody matches Kucinich best on this quiz. Everybody.

Funny that Hill and Barack came out slightly ahead of Edwards.

Nice workplace you have there. :)

Amusingly, my Republican candidates are in almost exactly the same order as yours, but the Democrats aren't:

94% Mike Gravel
92% Dennis Kucinich
86% John Edwards
86% Barack Obama
85% Joe Biden
83% Chris Dodd
81% Hillary Clinton
71% Bill Richardson

39% Rudy Giuliani
26% John McCain
25% Ron Paul
19% Mike Huckabee
19% Mitt Romney
15% Tom Tancredo
7% Fred Thompson

There was no NCLB question, which probably would have changed the order of the Dems for me.

What struck me (given that this is a goofy, completely unscientific internet meme) is how well this generally fits my feelings about the race this year: I'm actually pretty content with all the Dem frontrunners, and find ALL the Repubs - even the ones I initially thought would be relatively unoffensive - to be skeery bad.

Me too, except that I'm not thrilled with any of the Dem frontrunners (but they're tolerable enough, I guess).

I wasn't too happy to see a Mormon running (nothing against Mormons, but I don't want one as my leader), but holy bejeebus, I do NOT want a fundamentalist Evangelical minister as my president OMG OMG!!! SKEEEEERY Handmaid's Tale SKEERY!!!

I don't think people have a true understanding of what "Evangelical" here means. To start, I think they are Bible literalists and they don't believe in evolution. I think Bush is wrong about stemcell research (although I know WHY he takes his stance, I can still disagree with him), but an Evangelical? God, home schooling will become a norm. EEEEEEEEEE

Obama = Luv

This is from someone who voted for Bush in 2000. There are a lot of independents and registered Republicans who are backing Obama--we think it's time for REAL change. The Republicans have had their chance for 8 years and really messed things up. But I don't think getting Bill back in the White House is the answer, either (or Hillary back in the White House, depending on who you talk to)... I don't want to support yet ANOTHER "presidential dynasty" (husband then wife this time, instead of father/son).

It's time to wipe the slate clean.

I'm intrigued that you liked George Bush enough to vote for him, but don't *heart* Huckabee. (Not that I'm singling you out, he's obviously quite polarizing.) They seem two of a kind to me: Bush says the jury's still out on evolution, and talked to Jesus before going to war in Iraq. I don't really see the distinction: maybe it's like native Japanese speakers who can't distinguish between "L" and "R" when it's obvious to the rest of us?
