Started the new years with a CATASTROPHIC SERVER CRASH YAY!

Rilly. RAID arrays are redundant - unless you have two drives crash at once!!!

We're kinda hosed.

So, spent a big chunk of New Years eve coming down with something (kind of a "I'd rather find somewhere to curl up and die please" followed by "OMG I hope I don't throw up on the bus please") whilst hovering over an increasingly frantic computer dude. "Hey, I know your database must be somewhere...."

Then hied home to Mr. Tikistitch, who was puttering through 5,000-odd email messages before they shut down our much-beloved shell accounts at midnight. After tiki spent some hours in repose, and regrouped, the feeling of spew had thankfully receded. We opened a very good bottle of champagne, and shambled up the stairs, picking our way across the Western Ridge of Mount Stitch to catch the annual Space Needle fireworks, which were LAME!!! Then back down to catch the end of Reality Bites, and yell at Winona for not picking Ben Stiller, who is way dreamier than Ethan Hawke.
