Cute, huh? This Scrumpie is actually a holder for some of your jewelry.

"Pier Ring Holder." It either hold pierced earrings, or holds rings that tie your boat to the pier--you decide!

We are also assured that it is "Pierse 12 places."

Pier Ring... odd. The Japanese do use "piasu" (the English word "pierce") as their word for ear-ring. So you'd think it would say "Pierce holder", but it's like they half-knew that there's a "ring" somewhere in the English usage. Maybe they're being clever in that it has both the "pier" part of the Japanese usage "pierce" and the "ier ring" which sounds like "ear ring"...

Any ideas why Angel and Scrump are so popular in Japan? I guess Angel is because of her girly pinkness but... Scrump? I always associated Scrump with Lilo, not Stitch. I'll just have to watch the movies again and see if I've forgotten some important clue!
