One crutch

tikistitchSo, we go to get our coffee this morning (20 oz nonfat latte, in case you're ever buying) and we see, leaning against the used book store at the corner of the Ave. and NW 45th street--one crutch.
And, no owner in sight.
Now, why would you want to leave behind one crutch?
Did the person just hop away?
Did they experience a miracle cure?
Isn't one crutch something that's genereally, ya know, a bit difficult to forget?
