Meet the new puppy
Nov. 3rd, 2006 06:00 pmLong-suffering readers of this blog are no doubt familiar with the recent spate of remodeling at Casa de Tikistitch, which in our minds culmiinated with this,

Meet our new little friend, all the way from Down Under.

This L&S board was evidently OOAK, and was a contest prize in Australia. It's pretty darned long--even longer than our other board (thus the board that barely fit in our Honda).

It's almost impossible to fit the thing in one camera shot, though we tried by standing on various chairs.

Unlike the US version of the board, this doesn't have images of Lilo & Stitch, just the familiar film logo.

Plus a smaller logo down on the end.

The butterfly pattern, on the bottom side, is evidently some kind of siggy for the maker.

Here's his signature. 7'6", making the board bigger than tiki!!!

Date: 2006-11-06 12:30 am (UTC)By the way, the UK Disney site finally put the "Santa Stitch" plushie up: http://disneystoreshopping.disney.co.uk/ProdDetails.aspx?id=28883&catid=2&k=1scatid=201 but I'm slightly disappointed. The one in the actual stores has much longer hair and his ears are DOWN, not up. (I know this cause I had to go to the City Centre today to pick up some towels and stuff and popped in the Disney Store). I'm not sure if they sell a different version on the Internet, or if they didn't have flat-eared Stitch at the time and just took regular UK Stitch and put him in a Santa outfit. Cause I have regular UK Stitch and he looks suspiciously like this one. But I figured I'd let you know regardless that it's on the site and if you call the UK Disney people they might be able to let you know if they're selling a separate Internet version or if they simply didn't have lowered-ears Stitch available for the shoot.
... And this is why I'm happy you're on my friends list cause anyone else reading this would be like, "Wow, Marnie, you're nuts." :P

Date: 2006-11-06 02:53 am (UTC)And you're right, it's an awfully long plane trip. We flew straight to LA, and it was something like 20 hours. AND we were stuck in the smoking section!!

Date: 2006-11-06 06:53 am (UTC)My trip on the way to the US was Perth-Brisbane-La-Vegas and it was 30 hours because we had two 5 hour stop overs and 3 plane changes! Urgh!
On the way back I was luckier as it was only 23 or so all up. Course I was by myself and LAX decided to have a power-outage so that was pretty bad. I think I need a vacation from the plane ride(s) alone!
