More Olympic Peninsula weirdness.

Hoh is a national park on the western side of the Olympic peninsula.

It's real purty.

It's also an example of a temperate rainforest. (That's why we're all wearing rain gear. It was raining. Durrr.)

So, moss pretty much grows in everything.

We mean everything.

We also saw our first wildlife of the day: the Wet Cows of Hoh! "They must be wild," spake the Frenchman. Uh, yeah.

The Wet Cows may not be Wild, but they looked thoroughly annoyed.

That is a gorgeous place! Like a forest from Grimm's.

I love it! It looks so prehistoric! There are no decent forests here. They're mostly deciduous trees, and just about the only evergreens they have here are pines. Fwah! Fooey!

I miss the trees in Washington. Okay, so we have trees here, but they're not huge moss-covered mossy things.
