The board weighs only about 7 pounds. I'm pretty sure it's not going anywhere (it literally won't slide in or out up over the display rack, but needs to be pushed in sideways), but even so, we have at last half a dozen *other* surfboard-free archways conveniently located nearby to rush to in case of a quake.

So, you'll never have to worry about our future place looking like your landlords'...except maybe the bathroom. I'd like to do some kind of theme there, too. Monica has a penguin theme in her personal bathroom. It's really cute. She's got penguins on the shower curtain, and a penguin soap dispenser...
