So, even though we have a passion for weird Stitchie ceramic, we avoided these Harmony Kingdom boxes when they were first offered by Disney. "Huh!" we scoffed, "Just more manufactured collectibles designed to relieve us of our hard-earned cash."

But then we got one. And, it was like, cute 'n stuffs.

Soooo....

This is the one depicting Stitch and Lilo riding in the little coin-operated rocket in the original movie.

The deal with HK sculptures: they're actually boxes, so they open up to reveal little hidden stuffs. You can see Lilo's water bottle in the bottom.

Nice detailing, considering that they're really small enough to fit in your hand.

We like the little carved stars and planets on the side of the ship, and they're even authentic to the movie design.

The guy I bought this from actually went and had it autographed by the sculptor.

I used to sell Harmony Kingdom stuff in a shop I worked in. Some of it is really really really cute.

Do ya happen to know if they're still making new HK stuff? I haven't seen any new Stitch ones in quite a while.

Did you see that Stephen recognized the brave little cat (the one that chased the bear up a tree) on last night's episode?

Yeah, I really wanted the Lock, Shock & Barrel one. I used to collect NBC stuffs, but had to stop, as the house is getting too dang crowded.

Hmmm, I just checked their web page, and it looks like they're still slowly releasing new Disney pieces. Disney Auctions quit selling on eBay, and I always forget to check their web page.

I like that. Usually HK pieces (with the multispecies animal orgies) skeeve me something terrible.
