Wouldn't you like to have an exclusive club?

Well, Jenny does, and you're not invited, bwa-ha-ha!

Sakurako first, 'cause she's my fave.

I didn't expect her hair to be this color red. (I'm not sure exactly what I expected, as I truly don't remember preordering this doll. Ah, that demon alcohol!)

Anyway, it's a cool hair color, and one I don't remember on any other Takara dolls.

Ooo, cool glamor shot.

And her eyes are absolutely incredible.

This is Nanako, even though her box isn't helpfully labelled in English.

She's wearing the traditional Japanese "mini-gothloli-kimono." Actually, there's no such thing.

You're supposed to put on the leggings so she can go swanning about Shinjuku wearing an eyepatch, and hoping to catch a Fruits photographer I guess.

Once again, they did a terrific job on her facial painting. I like those lower lashes. Must've made some poor doll-painter half blind doing it.

Warning: stuff after the cut is pretty photo- and dollie-intensive. Not for the faint of heart.

Oooh, Nanako is *very* pretty. Does she have a princess-cut?

I'm torn between hoping that Takara brings Jenny and friends over to the US market (they've definitely done so with Bowlingual, and are apparently doing so for Microman and certain Cool Girls action dolls) and hoping that they won't, so I won't be tempted so often. :p

Ooo, I don't know! What's a princess cut?

I definitely agree! I don't want to see Jenny in Toys R Us, I'd only buy her. Did you see the Celeb was being offered by Amazon.com?

I believe the princess-cut is the hair style worn by stereotypical Heian era Japanese princesses. (There's a Japanese Princess Licca that also has this cut.)

It's something like:

- Blunt-cut bangs right at eyebrow height (or separated bangs on either side of face)
- A chunk of hair on each side of the ears, going down to chin length
- Rest of the hair in the back is as long as possible.

Like so:

Now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing Celeb Jenny around the same time that Blythe showed up on Amazon. Hopefully they'll keep putting up Jenny dolls I'm not interested in, instead of.. I dunno, Mouse Marine or Panda Kaori or something. :X

Would you just STOP with the awesome doll photos?? You're making me feel Consumer Lust again!! :) (goes off to plot how to get hold of a Nanako)

Oooo, so that's what ya call that cut. Yeppers, she's got one: blunt bangs, side thingies, and long in back. Though, the side thingies are kinda bigger than I've usually seen. I expect one lock on each side, and what she's got actually kinda resembles a mullet.

So I suppose you want your own Tusken Raider too now? ^_^

I'll pass on the Tusken Raider, but I'd have way too much fun at the holidays if I had my very own life-size Darth Maul to decorate!
