Travels avec Philip

So, here is where our friend Philip lives, near the town of Annecy. Yes, there are canals, as well as good food and wine and beer (Belgian) and everybody speaks French and don't you want to die?

Philip let us stay at his exclusive residence, Chateau Boonie. Here is the proprietor, His Lordship.

Mr. Tikistitch brought Philip a new lightsaber.

And Philip got Mr. Tiki some weird Yoda Easter Eggs (which for whatever reason, Tikistitch ended up hauling back in her hand luggage).
After a splendid meal one afternoon, Philip took us to a place nearby. "What is this place?" asked Mr. Tiki. "It is a place to do nothing!" attested Philip. "There are many of those places in France," agreed Mr. Tiki.

Boating, French-style. It is necessary to have the proper equipment: many bottles of a good vintage.

Here is a cool wooden bridge at the Place of Doing Nothing.

And here is the bridge 5 minutes later, when a French downpour started. We sat and drank good coffee and giggled at the people without raincoats all running back to their cars.
