Alas! Too late for Halloween
Nov. 26th, 2004 04:54 pmBut, I prefer to keep in mind my friend Earl's advice, that for those who care, it's Halloween every day of the year!

This is a kids Stitch costume from Japan.

I'm not much for collecting costumes, despite my husband's obsession for cheesy old Star Wars Halloween costumes. Probably because, for the most part, if you don't have a mannequin handy, they're generally not great display items.

Here's the back of the box.

As you may have guessed, I was spurred on to buy this particular example mainly because of the cheesy picture of the happy kid wearing the costume.

It's a great quality costume, actually. Here's a picture of just the hood, folded up. There are actually stitches fastening the costume in place in the box.

Of course, I ignored the stitches, and ignored the fact that I'd never get the costume as nicely folded again, and unrolled it to get a look.

I love the little tail on the back. I really wanna borrow a kid to dress him in the costume now!! I suspect if I had a kid of the apppriate age to wear the costume, they'd probably prefer to be a Power Ranger, or a Princess, or something really boring.
