Tiki is old

Everybody has someone who forwards around all those million dollar cookie recipes and dire warnings of missing toddlers who are now attending grad school. In our case, it's our father in law, who dutifully sent off this "Ha ha lookee you're so OLD!!!" email. Actually, we're not old enough to remember car hops, nor Topo Gigio, nor most of the rest, but we actually had - for a time at least - a Chatty Cathy doll. We say for a time, because she obviously wasn't beloved enough to survive moving house whilst tiki attended third grade. To be honest, we don't remember a damn thing she said, we only remember being fascinated to hear there was an actual, tiny record player inside, and trying to figure out how it might work. tiki was a weird girl.

OMG Dead Dylan

We just bought I'm Not There, the soundtrack to that artsy-fartsy Dylan movie with a million billion Dylans? And we just realized, one of the Dylans was Heath! He's a Dead Dylan!

(As for the CD, it seems kinda subdued so far. You might be able to listen along if you go to our last.fm page, we've heard you can actually hear whole songs there now.)

We'd heard about these horrible gals before, but were just reading a bit by the Southern Poverty Law Center regarding their mum:

Oh, and also, aelfsciene, remember that armed octopus t shirt? Ours just showed up - tonight! 'Twas weird. Oh well, we gots it.

Also also, igrrl, Dr. Who first season DIRECT from Amazon.com.uk.england.overthepond just showed up and we're playing it in our DVD player (because our player rules the universe).
