Ack! Is it still Monday?

My boss returned from her trip to DC this morning. While she was gone, I had emailed her some minor changes to the tables and figures in the paper we're currently writing, which was supposedly almost set to be submitted. However, by the end of an impromptu 45-minute meeting the morning, it was concluded that we will START OVER FROM THE BEGINNING with all the analyses. Ack!!!! Macros and figures and spreadsheets, oh my!

Let's look at Stitch stuff. This is a fuzzy thing that was given/sold to the animation crew who worked on Lilo & Stitch.

It's got a little "feature animation crew" logo on the front.

The back has the bigger Lilo & Stitch logo.

It's like a size XXL or something, so it's a teensy bit too large. Maybe if Jumba comes to visit.

I need to do some research on what constitutes "cast and crew" in the land of Dizzney. I know that every employee up to Eisner is referred to as "cast members," so that's not terribly helpful. The way they do it at other companies is that employees are eligible to buy certain items at the company store, but there are also items that are strictly limited to the folks doing certain jobs, ie, a certain camera unit.

The company store here in Walt Disney World is called Company D. We don't usually have access to cool things like that, but we do have access to things like limited edition cast member only pins and other collectables like that. I honestly doubt that that jacket would have been available to anyone but the crew who worked on the film. Case in point - a friend of mine worked at Epcot's Tapestry of Nations parade and they came around to the people who worked the parade ONLY offering a special Tapestry of Nations cast jacket. It was only offered to them and they were the only ones who knew about it. Hope this helps! ^_^
Oh, there's also Property Control which sells the broken, dirty and sometimes perfectly good items that were pulled from the shelves of the WDW stores for various listed (or unlisted) reasons and then sold to cast members for 75% discounted price. Sometimes they have items like jackets and stuff that was only available to specific people that weren't sold for one reason or another, but they are few and far between. ^_^

Thanks, that's very informative! When I worked for Eddie Bauer they sold clothes and shoes that had been used for catalog photography, etc. to us at a big discount in the Sample Store. It's about the only thing I miss about working there!!
