In the mail yesterday came a box from Japan, containing many things, both strange and wonderful, but mostly strange.

Let's start with the awesome, and work sideways!

TA-DAH!!!

This, my dears, is a UFO catcher prize of such stunning awesomeness, we shrink to even attempt description.

It's produced by Sega, in a series called (in English) "Mom's Made."

A series?? say you.

Let's put a tick on the character you have collected!

The sides of the box have pictures of some other characters in the series. Plus, little indentations which we believe were inserted so the claw machine can get a grip.

And each chara has his or her own def poetry!

Marie (the Ariostcats kitten) is quite fetching with her little winky eye.

Unfortunately, the box is sealed with a piece of clear tape. Our zest for complete documentation has run up against our compulsion to keep things all NRFB. After all, even the box notes this is collectable.

So, as a poor substitute for a piccy of botton-eyed Stitch actually out of the box, here is there rarely seen underside of the box. Hoping this will fun fan amuse you.

We are off to take more pictures....

that is cute but very possibly the most frightening I have ever seen. I think you should not trust that company moms made. it sounds pretty sketchy.

So are these supposed to look like one's mom made them? They kind of remind me of Dakin Dream Pets, in a way, especially Pooh and Marie.

I got him from Yahoo Japan auctions. I've never seen it on eBay, which certainly doesn't mean it's never been on eBay. You might want to contact an eBay seller who's got other Japanese Stitch items to see if they'd be willing to pick one up for you. Since it's a catcher, Ufocatcher.com is another potential source.

Yeah, I think that's the deal with Mom's made. I don't know if it's apparent in the photos, but Stitch's eyes are literally made of buttons, much like Scrump's eyes. It actually looks to me like Lilo might've sewn this Stitch!
