The Big Ass Scrumpie

Soooo, even though the Tikis have now been married for thirteen thoroughly silly years, like all relationships, there are conflicts! Example: when we go a a-UFO catching, we work as a pretty good team, in that Mr. Tiki likes the process of winning stuff, and tiki just plain likes prizes, especially for us.

HOWEVER! Sometimes there is an asynchronicity in that whereas our spouse wants to play what is in his opinion the funnest claw machine, we really don't care as long as the prizes within are of sufficient kawaii-itude. So, we had to do a bit of persuasive effort here: we were seeing this humongous Scrumpie plushies everywhere, but it took a convergence of Big Ass Plushie plus three-prong claw machine challenge (plus, need we add, several visits to the 100-yen coin machine) to finally bring our objectives in line.

This arcade was located near our hotel in Ikebukuro, by the way, a place of a quite high Stitch Density Factor. At the end of this this claw machine-lined street, the Sunshine City mall includes a Toys R Us store as well as a (smallish) Disney store, plus at least one accessory store that features a lot of Stitch chara goods.
