Mix stick

Been spending waaaaaay too much time browsing endgadget.com today, so in that spirit, pix of yet another kewl thingie we don't have in the USA 'cause Dizzney sux.

It's called a "Mix Stick." And, it's sorta kinda a dumbed-down iPod for kiddies. There's an (inevitable) princess-themed one in the US, and another (also inevitable) based on Pirates, and a few others, but in Japan, they have one in Stitchie blue. From reading the reviews, it's not supposed to be any great shakes as an MP3 player, but dammit, it's blue!!

cute!

Randomly, my Japanese friend saw your LJ (I was trying to explain LJ to her) and as soon as she saw the photo of your house from a few days back, she shrieked "It's Stitch!!!" XD

Ha! It's really funny how a particular character will capture the imagination of a certain part of the world, and but just fail to click elsewhere. I was just chatting with our friend Luis about Stitch in Mexico--he looked *everywhere* for even the licensed stuff, just for something to bring me, and couldn't find anything at all, not even a bootleg DVD. In Russia, you could hardly turn around without running into a bootleg Disney DVD.

Aw, cute! So are you getting a Stitch one?

I was looking at the Tokyo Disney website in preparation for our trip, and am charmed/tormented by the limited edition Hallowe'en foods.

Oh, they had the greatest Stitchie food during the Find Stitch event! Just, nothing that would survive in the mail. And did you see the Stitchie pumpkin?
