Puppy interlude

Bro-in-law's new "puppy," Magnum. Please note that said puppy is now bigger than our sis-in-law, who is posing with the beast.

OUr neighbor had a dog like that. I used to ride on him like a horse!! Nicest dog EVER!

Whoa! What kind of dog is that? If it's a mix, there is DEFINITELY Saint Bernard in there.

He's a Newfoundland:

According to bro-in-law, he's not only big, he's *bouncy*.

Ahhh. Newfoundlands were bred with St. Bernards a long time ago to make long-haired St. Bernards, that's why this guy looks a little like my Lucy!

He's really cute.

You had a St. Bernard? That's a lot of doggie!

My aunt has a Great Dane. He's the sweetest thing on 4 legs. But, also very bouncy. It's pretty amazing when he jumps!

Hehe yep she's here in my icon, she lives back in NY with my parents. She's our third (not 3 at once, but consecutively). She only weighs 100 pounds and she's tiny so technically she's a "runt." A 100 pound runt dog, which seems kind of like a contradiction in terms!

Big dogs are so great. When you're around them all the time they seem normal sized so it's weird when you take them for walks and people are shocked by how big they are. But it's nice not to have to even bend down to pet them. :)~

FLUFFY! He looks just like a hugely magnified version of what Chubby looked like. (Chubby was our cocker spaniel and he was aptly named.)

What a cute doggie! I'm glad he didn't get named "Buttons" or something like that. And look at him workin' those cute eyes!

I had a collie years ago. Don't get me wrong, I love Koji all to pieces, but you can REALLY HUG a big dog.
ext_6373: A swan and a ballerina from an old children's book about ballet, captioned SWAN! (I hear sparkles in my brain by fritters)
