Kinda on a minis kick here at Casa de Tiki. These aren't exactly gashapon, but they're pretty small.

They're little pullback cars from Tokyo Dizzyland. Looks like they're all based on various park rides, like Pirates. Though, we're not aware of a ride with Aladdin genie cars. We do like the Stitch pretending to be Indy Jones.

I believe one of the Disney parks (couldn't tell you which) has a Genie ride somewhat like the Dumbo ride, where you sit in a hollowed out Genie that goes up and down and "flies" around.

EDIT to add: Damn, I miss Tokyo Disney/Disney Sea. Disney Sea was significantly better than I was led to expect.

Did you like Disney Sea? I've heard very mixed reviews! I'm probably only going to have one day again to do Tokyo Disney this summer, so I need to figure out whether it would be worth it to schelp over to DS.

We hit both Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea in one day. I found it worth it, just because:
1) I love the Tower of Terror in every incarnation
2) I really, really liked the steampunky Captain Nemo area.

But there *is* a lot of walking involved just to get from one area to the next, and there are only a handful of attractions in each area. The Aladdin area is largely skippable if you're not inclined to sit through Japanese movie-attractions and "it's a small world" style puppet-presentation rides, and we bypassed the Little Mermaid area completely.

Did you see the Stitch Tower of Terror merch? I was disappointed when I finally rode TT at WDW and there was no Bellhop Stitch in the gift shop any more. But, he's also invaded Disney Paris from what I can gather.

I *think* I did? I was mostly distracted by the inexplicably Genie Tower of Terror merch, but I thought I recognized some Stitch stuff I'd seen on your LJ.

I probably *do* have a bunch of it, I just want to actually *be* there when it's for sale. For, no reason really, I'm just odd.

Genie TT merch? Hrm. I'm not clear how the Genie character translates without Robin Williams' voice - I guess he's still popular!

I think the idea ties into Genie being freed and going on vacation, and he wears his Goofy hat and carries a suitcase.

Waaaaaaaaaaaa TOKYO DISNEYLAND/DISNEY SEA!!!!!!!! MISSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

First piccy: 1) The DS Venetian gondolas. 2) DS Aquatopia. Weeee! 3) DS Scuttle's Scooters. 4) TDL Pirates of the Caribbean 5) TDL Grand Circuit Raceway

Second piccy: 1) DS Caravan Carousel 2) DS Indy Jones 3) TDL Dumbo the Flying Elephant 4) TDL Big Thunder Mountain

The blue Genie, if the toy is from Tokyo, is not from the Dumbo-type ride. You're thinking of the Magic Carpets of Aladdin in the WDW Magic Kingdom--and that ride is in the shape of a magic carpet that you can navigate up or down.

The Genie in the toy is actually one of the carousel rides in DisneySea. They're not ALL genies on that carousel but a few of them are.
