Cruisin' for a Bruisin'

Mr. Tiki once asked, sensibly enough, whether we'd like to try a Disney Cruise at some point. We answered in the negative, as we see them, as a collector, as an excuse to be overwhelmed by dinner plate-sized exclusive collectible pins.

That was, of course, before we saw this item.

Though you can't tell from the picture, this is a big fig, and we have it in its not-quite-unwrapped state because we've got to repack it for a bit whist we figure out where the hell to put it.

It was evidently (if eBay sellers are to be believed) available exclusively to passengers on Disney's Mediterranean Cruise line. Oddly enough, it also seems to be freely available by Orlando-based dealers of Disney merchandise.

The three Dizzney chara represent clever stereotypes of the three countries visited by the ship, so, Stitch is hanging off the Leaning Tower for Italy, Goofy adopts a matador outfit for Spain, and Mickey has a race car for....er....well, some country in Europe where they have fast cars that's not Italy, because that's already Stitch. (Perhaps we'd better be able to guess if he were wearing a beret or eating a herring or looking like he was going to annex the Sudetenland.)

Another view, so you can appreciate Stitch's King Kong-esque pose.
