*Snort* Isn't that, like, every Pern book ever? All snarking aside, I must admit I did love the Harper's Hall trilogy. Why have one giant dragon when you could have eight tiny sparkly dragons that sing?
Hell, there was a several-month-period during my teenagerhood when I eagerly devoured every word that woman had ever written. But even in those innocent pre-Intarnets days (before Teh Joy of Snark had been revealed to us all) I knew there was something a bit *too* wish-fulfillment-y about Fire Lizards & etc.
I've also started getting the creepies when I think of that McCaffrey heroine who essentially gets repeatedly raped by her boyfriend. So, I try not to dwell on it too much.
Me and my friend laughed over the phone about this for literally hours. Doesn't gettting a dragon sound like something a standard Mary sue would do at some point?
Too many italics, must fix--

OMGGGGGGGG man. Tiny dragons are total wish fulfillment.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.
Re: Too many italics, must fix--
... everyone else wanted to roleplay the giant (horse like) majestic dragons blah blah blah.
I'm me. I wanted to roleplay someone with a herd of adorable, snappy, yippy (chihuahua like) fire lizards.

You RPG'd as a CRAZY CAT LADY? ^_^
Re: Too many italics, must fix--
Although I'm so proud for myself for only having two; I realize the hoarding is not the beauty, it is the elaborate costumes for the tiny dogs.
We attended a Howl-o-ween celebration tonight. *coughs*
